It’s Apple Season!
I’m so happy it’s finally Autumn. With Autumn comes apple season. yay! I’m such a huge fan of apples as they taste great and are so beneficial for the body. “An apple a day keeps the doctor away” is really a wise saying as apples are full of vitamins and nutrients that can help keep us healthy. Having a healthy body definitely translates into having beautiful skin too. Eating apples can help do such things as treat acne, hydrate the skin, and prevent premature aging.
Apples are packed with Vitamins A, B, and C, which can help accelerate rejuvenation of the skin cells and provide a glowing, balanced skin tone. The Vitamin C in apples can help reduce the premature signs of ageing. Also, apples contain a lot of water in them so they are a good source of hydration for the body and skin.
You don’t only have to eat apples to reap their benefits. You can also apply them to your skin. This time of year, I like to juice some apples and apply the juice to my skin with a piece of cotton. I dab the juice all over my face and neck and let it sit for about 2-3 minutes before I rinse off with warm water. It is a nice way to reap the natural skincare benefits of this seasonal fruit and it’s also a nice little Autumn tradition.
So if you are lucky enough to gather some fresh, organic apples, give the apple juice facemask a try. If that isn’t your thing, then make a food recipe highlighting apples. Eating them regularly can be so nourishing for the body and skin.
