Salt Soak for the Bath

Baths are one of the most amazing things on earth.  I cannot live without a bathtub.  The bath is a safe haven where you can just turn your mind off and relax.  I really love using soaking salts in the bath, particularly when I’m sick.  They help to make the water softer as it wraps you like a warm blanket.  Dried flowers are fun to add for color and essential oils are great to add, as well, to help heighten the relaxation experience. Also, the more stimulating essential oils, such as peppermint and eucalyptus can help a lot with easing nasal congestion.  Here is the recipe that I enjoy making and I hope you like it too.

Salt Soak with Dried Flowers and Essential Oils


  • 1 cup pink Himalayan salt
  • 1 Tbsp. dried roses and/or other fragrant dried flowers
  • 4 drops rose essential oil and 2 drops peppermint oil


Mix all ingredients together and place in a container with a lid.  Put about 1 Tbsp of salt soak in your bath water and relax.  Enjoy!
